Kandapida-urdhwanamaskarasana (Instep Posture)

Sit on the ground with legs in front and the soles pressing against each other. Hold the feet with the hands and raise them to the navel. Now turn the feet carefully in such a way that the insteps press against each other and the knees remain on the ground. Raise both the hands over the head and join the palms. This posture may be difficult in the beginning but with practice, it becomes easy. One may start with 2-2 minutes duration which may be extended upto 10 15 minutes later on.


Benefits:-The pains caused by arthritis are eliminated. The veins and arteries of the feet are strengthened. One does not suffer from gout.
