Salt : Grind finely rock salt and sieve it through a muslin cloth. Mix one part salt and four parts mustard oil ad massage the gums daily to cure pyorrhea. Continue with this treatment for a prolonged period. Besides curing pyorrhea, it will also provide relief from general dental problems like toothache and hyper sensitivity of the teeth. Also eat carrots or drink carrot juice. Avoid sugar, tea and coffee. It will keep your teeth healthy.

Oranges : Eating oranges is beneficial for the patients of pyorrhea. Grind dry rind of oranges and massage the teeth and gums with it daily.

Mango :Grind finely mango kernel and massage the teeth and gums with it. It will cure pyorrhea and other diseases of the teeth.

Cabbage : Eating raw cabbage provide provides  relief from pyorrhea and other diseases of the teeth.

Camphor : In case of pyorrhea, apply camphor mixed in clarified butter four times daily and let the saliva drip out. Then rinse the mouth.

Castor oil : Mix castor oil and camphor and massage the gums with it twice daily in the morning and evening.  It is beneficial for pyorrhea.

Spinach : It is preventive in nature and protects the teeth from diseases like pyorrhea. Its juice makes the teeth strong. Chew and eat raw spinach. Taking spinach juice in the morning on empty stomach cures pyorrhea. If carrot juice is added to it, it checks bleeding.

Alum salt : In case pyorrhea, bleeding gums, pain and swelling in the gums, grind finely one part of salt and two parts of alum salt and massage the gums thrice daily. Follow it with rinsing of the mouth with a glass of hot water with 5 gms. of alum salt in it. It will strengthen the gums and teeth and check bleeding and pus.
Kerosene oil : Rinsing the mouth with it cures pyorrhea.

Betel leaf : Chew a betel leaf with a very small quantity of camphor and spit out the saliva. Be careful and do not swallow the saliva. It will be beneficial.

Garlic : In case of pyorrhea, pain and swelling of gums and foul smell, add twenty drops of garlic juice to a tsp. of honey and lick it. Grind some garlic cloves add to 60 ml. of mustard oil and then heat it.

When the garlic gets burnt up, strain the oil and add 30 gms. of burnt and ground caraway seeds and 15 gms. of rock salt. Massage the gums with cure the common ailments of the teeth. Its regular use for two – three months will also cure pyorrhea.

Soap nut : Burn 250 gms. of the shells of soap nut on a hot plate grind finely and sieve. Massage the gums daily with ¼ tsp. of this powder with 5 drops of mustard oil added to it Continue with treatment for two months.

Amla : Burn dry amla and grind and mix rock salt. Massaging the with it and mustard oil cures pyorrhea.

Lemon : Use plenty of lemon. Rinse the mouth with water with a lemon squeezed in it. Applying lemon juice and honey on the gums checks bleeding and pus. The teeth become strong.

Clay : Soak clean clay in water and put in the mouth for sometime. Then spit it out and rinse the mouth. Do not eat sweets. It will cure pyorrhea.
