STOMACH AILMENTS
Rose apple: It is beneficial in the ailments of stomach. It has the potency to regulate the motion. Take rose apple juice with rock salt to get relief from stomach-ache, diarrhoea and loss of appetite.
Banana: For different kinds of stomach related ailments, eating bananas as a part of the meals helps in recovery. It is a nutrient for the weak person and children. In the case of diarrhea, gastritis, colitis and gastric ulcer, banana is helpful food. It removes the swelling of the intestines.
Pomegranate: It helps in recovery from debility of stomach, spleen and liver, sprue, diarrjoea, vomiting and stomach-ache It is constipative. It being sour and sweet, it improves the digestive system and is diuretic. It helps in producing digestive juice in sufficient quantity.
Carrots: Carrots contain Vitamin B-Complex which strengths the digestive system. It also provides relief from intestinal gas, spasms, swelling, ulcers, dropsy, appendicitis smell. As soon as you take carrot juice, you feel a sense of relief. It is also effective in mucus related ailments. It clears the bowels, improves appetite and removes foul smell.
Onion: It enhances the taste of the food and improves the appetite. It helps in the digestion of the food. It stimulates the liver, spleen and bile and bile and improves their functioning. It expels wind from the stomach and relieves stomach- ache and flatulence. It also nullifies the ill-effects on health because of the change of place and climate. It provides relief from acidity. Roast an onion in fire, crush it and extract juice from it. Mix 1 gm. of salt and drink it. It will provide relief from stomach-ache.
Radish: Eat a radish daily for two months with salt and black pepper powder with salt and black pepper powder with meals. It is beneficial in loss of appetite, sickness of stomach, chronic constipation and flatulence. For diseases of the stomach radish can be used in the form of chutney, pickles and vegetable.
Gwar –patha: Mix fresh juice of gwar-patha (25 gms.) with 12 gms. honey and the juice of half lemon. Take twice daily in the morning and evening. It is beneficial in all types of stomach ailments.
Chaulai: It is beneficial in diseases of the stomach.
Apple: It is beneficial in diseases of the stomach especially for children. Take one to three apples at a time daily according to your need and capacity.
Bathua: Take it as a vegetable regularly till it is available in the season. It provides relief from the diseases of the stomach like those of the liver, spleen, flatulence, dyspepsia, worms and piles.
Masoor daal: It is beneficial in the diseases of digestive system.
Bread: It excessive use leads to several diseases of the stomach. Food items made of fine flour constipation. Gradually it causes peptic ulcer.
Ginger: (1) Mix 1 gm. dried ginger powder with a little asafoetida and rock salt take it with hot water. It relieves stomach-ache.
(2) A tsp. of dried ginger powder and a little rock salt in a glass of hot water relieves stomach-ache.
(3) Fry small pieces of ginger in clarified butter and add salt to taste. Take it twice daily. It provides relief usually from all types of common stomach ailments.
