Beauty Paste


BEAUTY PASTE

Mix well the following ingredients :½ cup of gram daal flour, 1 tsp. of rose water, 2 tsp. of glycerine, 1 tsp. fine powder of sandal-wood, 1 tsp. of turmeric powder, ½ tsp. of milk and 6 drops of lemon. If you want to thicken it, add a little more of gram daal flour and if you want to make it thinner, add some glycerine. During winter, you can add a few drops of kewra or henna scent for fragrance. During summer or rains, add rose, add rose or khus scent. Massage the entire body with this paste. It will make the body beautiful.

Application on the Face: Mix ½ tsp. each of the juice of tomatoes, radish, cucumber and rosewater. Add 6 lemon drops to it. Also add 1 tsp. butter and a pinch of turmeric powder and prepare a paste. Apply this on the face in the evening. Let it dry for half hour. After that wash with warm water and wipe with a clean coarse cloth in the upward direction. Now take a little glycerine and rosewater in your palm and rub on the skin of the face. It will make the skin smooth, soft and clean.

Amla: Massage the face twice daily in the morning and evening with any oil of your choice. Soak overnight a tsp. of amla powder in a glass of water. In the morning strain it and use the water to wash your face with it. Do it daily. It will remove freckles and wrinkles.

 Coconut: Application of coconut water on the skin of the face twice daily removes spots, pimples and small-pox marks.

Almonds: Soak overnight five almonds. Peel them in the morning and grind finely. Store in a bottle. Add 60 ml. Rose- water and 5 drops of sandal-wood scent and stir well. Apply it on the face wherever there are spots thrice daily. Where the spot is dark, apply a little extra quantity.

Turmeric: Mix ¼ tsp. each of turmeric powder and black sesame seeds and grind in hot milk. Apply it on the face. It will remove freckles.

Neem: Grind green neem leaves and apply the paste on the face before bed-time. Wash the face with cold water in the morning. Do it continuously for 50 days. It will clear the small-pox marks.

Rice: Soak white rice in water. Use this water to wash the face. It will clear freckles.

Milk: Apply hot milk on the face and wash it before bed-time and then give a thorough massage to the face. Again wash the face with clean water after half an hour. It will enhance the beauty of the face. Massaging the face with the froth of the freshly produced milk clears the spots. Application of milk cream on the face before bed-time also clears pimples and freckles.

Clarified butter: Application of clarified butter on the face before bed-time clears black spots and marks of injury.

Castor oil: Mix gramflour with castor oil and rub on the face. It will clear freckles and beautify the face.
Nutmeg: Grind nutmeg and black pepper in milk and apply a thick coating on the face. It clears spots and improves complexion.

Water: For a beautiful skin you should drink plenty of water daily. At least eight glasses of water are required for internal cleaning.

Meat-eating: Women who do not eat meat or take very little of it have soft skin and it is a pleasure to touch it. For spotless beauty meat-eating is harmful.

Basil Leaves: (1) Mix the juice of basil leaves and lemon juice in equal quantity. Its application on the face will clear dark shadows, freckles, pimples, black spots, etc.

(2) If there are dark freckles on the face, grind mint leaves in the morning and apply the juice on the face and let it remain for half an hour. In the evening, grind basil leaves and apply the juice on the face and let it remain for half an hour. Wash off afterwards. If this treatment is taken for three months, it will clear the freckles.
