Cure for Catarrh, Coryza, Nasal Congestion Remedy


CATARRH, CORYZA, NASAL CONGESTION


In medical books, there is no treatment for catarrh for catarrh or coryz. The medicines prescribed by a doctor simply give you a feeling of relief but they do not shorten the of the disease. They suppress the disease temporarily but it appears again at any time. Catarrh is marked by inflammation of the mucous membrane. It is not advisable to use inhalers or nasal drops to open up a blocked nose. It increases the blood pressure and there is a narrowing of blood vessels.
  Catarrh is a common problem. Given below are a few food items which can catarrh . If you are taking some other treatment, even then you can use them. An analysis of these items will show that treatment through food is easy and harmless.

Causes

(1)Accumulated Disorders : Breathing disorders, constipation, tonsillitis, nasal problem, debility and sensitivity to cold.

(2)Immediate stimulating causes :Getting drenched in the rain, catching cold, walking in the hot sun and immediately afterwards drinking cold water, keeping awake at night, dyspepsia, sudden stopping of perspiration, too much of sexual intercourse, lack of clean air, taking hot water baths, being scared of cold, use of cold drinks and foods.

·        Prohibited Food Items : The patient of catarrh should not take milk and curd. If you have to take milk, take it only after boiling one of the following in it : a large cardamom, two pieces of long pepper, two dried or four dates. The use of large raisins as mentioned in the foregoing chapter “Energy Food” is highly beneficial.

    To cure catarrh and coryza the use of Vitamin ‘C’ is most helpful. Please consult the present author’s book “shativardhak bhojan” for details on the use of Vitamin ‘C’. But besides Vitamin ‘C’ there are some other traditional ways which provide relief from catarrh, as gargling, the use of ginger and honey and steam inhaling, eta However, people do not seem to attitude, it will not be easy to rid of the problem.

 Water : If the catarrh is due to an immediate stimulating cause, take hot water and do not eat food.it will cure catarrh. This kind of catarrh is common. One catches cold on a day, the next day one has a running nose and the third day it matures and one is on the way to recovery. It the cold is treated with medicines instead of the way to recovery. it the cold is treated with medicines instead of through food, it may become worse and lead to several other diseases.

Jaggery  : (1) The use of laddoos made of jiggery and black sesame prevents the occurrence of catarrh.
(2) If the cold has gone bad, to eat 30 gms. Of jiggery and 6 gms. Of black pepper powder mixed in 60 gms. Og curd is the first thing in the morning after you get up and again in the evening for five days. It will be beneficial. It is also a preventive treatment. When the catarrh goes bad, the patient develops low fever, a distaste for food Kaf, cough mucous, foul smell emanates from the nose and there are foul smelling secretions, headache, eta.

Orange : The patient suffering from coryza and  cough should take orange juice with cold water in summer and hot water in winter. It is beneficial. cut the peel of an orange into small pieces strain and take it twice in the morning and evening. The orange peel can be dried in the sun and stored for this purpose. Use it as and when required.

Apple :Catarrh is common among persons with a weak brain such people do not benefit from medicines.it will provide strength to the brain.

Amla : People suffering from frequent attacks of catarrh should use amla regularly.

Grapes : Eating at least 50 gms. Of grapes daily prevents the occurrence of catarrh.

Fig : Boil five figs in water, strain and drink the water twice daily in the morning and evening.

Garlic : If the patient sneezes 5 to 7 times continuously, give him garlic to eat. It will provide relief from sneezing.

Maize : Burn a cob of maize and grind it into powder. Add salt to taste. Take 4 tsp. four time daily with hot water. It will be beneficial.

Milk : Put 5  pieces of long pepper in milk and boil it. Add sugar and drink it twice daily in the morning and evening.
